Dogecoin [DOGE], the first cryptocurrency joke, has been in the headlines due to Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s liking for it. DOGE is seen by many in the cryptocurrency community as a joke coin. In contrast, the network’s core developers have been performing all of the behind-the-scenes work, as they have just announced the details of an upcoming upgrade.
Core Dogecoin developers provided an early look at the forthcoming v1.14.6 release. Patrick Lodder, a network core developer, drafted a release plan and check list for v1.14.6 and distributed them in advance of its release.

The subsequent update, as illustrated in the prior diagram, addresses numerous issues. Developers of Dogecoin appeared inclined to make the network more user-friendly. The phrase “ease of use” was mentioned in numerous suggestions. Every network is concerned with confidentiality. As a result, the developers intended to enhance this aspect by providing consumers with regular updates to protect their wallets.
The checklist also included a recommendation to make the Dogecoin Core wallet more cost-effective.
Although all of these features are “Must Haves,” the developers were prepared to delay the upgrade in order to incorporate them.
When will Dogecoin version 1.14.6 be released?
On Reddit, Lodder stated that the update will likely be released before the end of June “, he elaborated.
It seems that we will be able to release version 1.14.6 before the end of June. We will concentrate on including as many contributions as possible into the release, as well as the network hardening I mentioned before, on which not only I but also chromatic are now working. As the makers of Dogecoin prepared to release this update, the price of the meme money started to increase. At press time, DOGE was trading at $0.0828, up 2.09 percent over the previous twenty-four hours.
