Whenever I visit to perform a search, I often end up delaying the search till I have browsed through the week's Bing wallpapers and downloaded the ones I like. Perfect source to find amazing, high-quality wallpaper for free and without any threat of virus attached.

But that is about me. The news that I wanted to share is for the cricket fans. The T20 World Cup is here. And I know most cricket fans would do anything to stay glued to their television sets. However, that isn't always possible. The good news is that Microsoft Bing has refreshed its cricket related featuress to keep cricket lovers updated with live scores and help them have fun playing cricket related quizzes and answering polls.

Speaking about these refreshed features, Sundar Srinivasan, GM Bing Search, said, "Over the past few months, we have been working to enrich Cricket search experiences to show more match details. We anticipate our unique offerings such as Bing Predicts and quiz will make this T20 Cricket season much more exciting and engaging for the fans. These all new experiences on Bing and Cortana will provide comprehensive cricket information for all cricket fans."

Cricket Content on Top: Just type Cricket World Cup on Bing and the search result page that loads up shows the live scores and other information in a prominent carousal on top. Users can scroll through this carousal to check out information about past and future matches. This carousal will provide ball by ball update of the ongoing matches. Other useful information like match schedules, results, top player statistics and who won Man of the Match etc is also available on this carousal.

Quiz and Polls: Bing has also prepared to present the cricket lovers with a daily cricket quiz and poll. The links to T20 Quiz of the Day and T20 Poll of the day are near the lower edge of the top carousal. The quiz is not just a game but also a way to gain information as it gives reason and details in support of every correct answer. And once you are done playing the quiz, you can also share your final score on Facebook and Twitter.

Bing Predicts: When you view the card of the match that is still to be played, instead of the final result the card displays prediction about which team is likely to win the match and the percentage of chance of the win.

Bing Predictions on UC Browser: If you use UC Browser on your smartphone, you can access the Bing predictions through UC Cricket feature on your UC Browser. So the users can check live scores and Bing predictions from anywhere using their smartphones.

Ask Cortana for Cricket Scores: If you are using Windows 10 on your computer, you can also ask Cortana for "Cricket Scores" and she will update you with the live scores in a jiffy. If you want, she can also show you the match schedule of the entire tournament or your favourite team. And if you tell her "Give me a cricket challenge," she'll challenge you with an interesting quiz session.

So there, thanks to internet and smartphones, keeping up with cricket updates is no problem at all. Of course, there are some apps available too for cricket fans. And other search engines provide live scores too. But this time, Bing seems to be going the extra mile to please the cricket enthusiasts. So if you are a cricket fan, check out the 'Cricket World Cup' on Bing. As for me, having no interest in cricket, I'm content downloading the Bing wallpapers!
