The iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 Pro Maxes will be pre-ordered on Friday and coincides with the new devices. T-Mobile has expanded its offerings for the entire portfolio of new phones from Apple.
Starting Friday, the wireless operator is offering users who are changing or adding a new line the option of a free iPhone 12 Mini or iPhone 12 if they are trading an "eligible" phone and purchasing a 30-month installment plan at the same time. Those switching and looking for the iPhone 12 Pro can get it for just $ 50 on the base model with the right trade-in and purchase of an installment plan, while 12 Pro Max buyers can get the base model for $ 150 a saving from $ 950 in both scenarios.

The iPhone 12 Mini starts at $ 700 and the iPhone 12 starts at $ 830. The base iPhone 12 Pro starts at $ 1,000, while the larger iPhone 12 Pro Max starts at $ 1,100. While the 12 and 12 Pro are available now, the 12 Mini and 12 Pro Max will hit stores on November 13th.

A trade-in for an "eligible" phone in good condition is also required. However, to save $ 950, you'll need to trade in an iPhone 11 Pro Max or XS Max. Those with an iPhone 11 Pro, 11, XS, XR, X, 8, or 8 Plus get $ 830 off, while those with an iPhone 7, 7 Plus, or 2020 iPhone SE get $ 530 off.
The iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, 6, 6 Plus, and the original SE can save $ 380 for new users joining the promotion, while those with an iPhone 5S, 5, 5C, 4S, 4, 3GS Trade, 3G or an original iPhone, this can save you $ 230.
Much like the previous October, you'd be using T-Mobile's Essentials plan, which is currently $ 90 a month for two lines without iPhones. Unlimited speech, text, and data are included (as is 5G data), but you don't get benefits like free Netflix or international data roaming outside of Canada and Mexico and the unlimited hotspot is limited to "3G speed". Taxes and fees are also not included in the sticker price.
An improved offer for upgrades
Those who already have T-Mobile can upgrade an iPhone 12 Pro or 12 Pro Max and save up to half on it, the exact value depending on the device you're trading with and the iPhone you're buying . For the 12 Pro Max, the deal would be a maximum of $ 550 off.
Existing T-Mobile and Sprint users who have been with T-Mobile or Sprint for at least five years can save an additional $ 200. The loyalty offer can be stacked on top of the trade-in offer to give existing users a discount of up to $ 750. T-Mobile did not immediately state what the trade-in values would be for current users.
The new offerings are a surprising improvement over T-Mobile's initial offerings for the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro, which cost a maximum of $ 850 when toggling on both devices and a maximum of $ 700 for existing users who are upgrading . Those who took advantage of these earlier deals would have to go back to a T-Mobile store and return their phone and buy it back if they wanted to save the extra money, although it is unclear whether and what exactly a restocking fee would apply and the process would look like this.
