I finally sat down to watch Sylvie's Love on Amazon Prime Video and all I can say is everything about this black romance was bomb!
Ladies Tessa Thompson's character Sylvie is all of us at some point in our lives. From trying to be the "perfect" wife to the wrong man while effortlessly giving our all to the right one.
And girllllll Kerry Washington husband Nnamdi Asomugha.... I'll just say I see why she keeps him hidden... he's real easy on the eyes. His character Robert had me when he told Sylvie he just wanted her to be happy even if he couldn't be a part of her life. #whewchile
And when Sylvie went to interview for a job as an asst. producer and the Black female producer asked her why she should hire her Sylvie replied,
"Because I didn't know that a negro woman television producer even existed." all I could do was scream YES Girl!!!!!!
My biggest takeaway from #sylvieslove was forget who you are expected to be and become who you are meant to be... You'll find freedom and your authentic self there!
Anyway too bad we couldn't watch this at the movies, because this is definitely a great date night film.
