Back in early November, The Family and I went on a socially distanced mini-vacation to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. As is always the case whenever any of us does a bit of traveling, some booze hunting was done in between hikes and recovery time at the rental property.
During a quick trip to a fancy little grocery store called Lowes Foods of Banner Elk, I spotted some yummy sounding brews to bring back home. One of these brews was a Stout from Sycamore Brewing Company of Charlotte, NC called Special Brownies Chocolate Stout. Here is a very brief description taken directly from Sycamore Brewing's website:
A pinch of this. A dash of that. Into the mixing bowl! These brownies will take you to another dimension. 7.3% ABV.That's not much of a description. All we know is that based upon the label and pretty artwork, it sure did sound like a tasty brew. But was it?
