Back in the day, I was as into the American Pie movies as it was possible to be. There’s bands I still listen to today that I found through their soundtracks and the music from those films are still good for a mood boost.
The reason I’m talking about American Pie in 2014 is that this band would have fit right alongside Bachelor #1, Lit, Everclear, Loose Nuts, Oleander and American Hi-Fi and their track from the showcase, Don’t Be A Gramps would have been perfect for the tone of American Wedding.
The track is their showiest number in that their sound is a little low-fi surf rock and not in the early 21st century way more in the Surfer Blood, The Drums way but this is a solid track and worth a few minutes of your time.
