I just want to start this post by apologizing for being so absent on the blog lately. We have been traveling and to be completely honest, I have just been enjoying quality time with my little family. I remember pre-Ralph that I would always get so stressed out if I was unable to get a post up and now I just look at my sweet little baby and close the computer. I know it’s terrible to admit but I have really just been enjoying slowing down and enjoying this sweet summertime season. I really don’t remember the last time in the history of this blog (7 years) that I have really just slowed down!
We have been spending lots of time at the pool (planning to do an intensive swim class/session at the end of the summer), being outside (in Dallas when the weather permits) and really just ‘playing’. It’s funny that before I had Ralph I would have never found joy in hitting spatulas against boxes, looking at trees and even playing fetch for HOURS with the puppies just to listen to Ralph giggle uncontrollably….now it’s my life and I wouldn’t change a thing.
One of the biggest changes that I can personally say about life post baby is that everything is just so much more simple. From dinners (yay grilled cheese) to activities, it’s such a less is more kind of vibe and Ralph is loving every minute.
As we are now almost half way through ‘summer’ (Ralph’s little school starts the middle of August), I am really loving this sweet summer season and the simpler things in life…especially with wardrobe because Texas is HOT right now. Summer dresses and flats have been just about the only thing I have been wearing lately!
