Dagwood and I sneak in both of the kids rooms every single night to watch them sleep. The sweet, peaceful faces makes all our cares go away for the moment. Sometimes we wonder what they might be dreaming of. Are they at the beach, Disney, the park, playing with friends or each other. We have been blessed to not have many bad dreams or nightmares. I had them bad when I was younger. I remember waking up screaming and my dad coming and helping me get back to sleep.
I will never grow tired of watching my babies sleeping. Dagwood's mom gave him the book Love You Forever written by Robert Munsch. We read it often and tell the kids no matter how big they get they will always be our babies.
"A mother held her new baby and very slowly rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while she held him she sang:
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be."
