Kirt Holmes for Swarovski Runway Rocks
Swarovski Runaway Rocks ” saw the light ” in Shanghai at the flagship of the Chinese luxury reatiler Lane Crawford ,with a new collection of nine haute couture regional designers and international designers who have decorated their clothes with the famous crystals.
Rocks in the show was attended by famous Chinese designers like Guo Pei, famous for its baroque dresses and wedding dresses , avantgarde designer Wang Peiyi, whose collection debuted in February at the Milan Fashion Week , as well as Marsha Ma and Huishan Zhang. In preparation for the fashion show were used accessories and jewelry by British designer Giles,Stephen Webster and Ted Noten.
The organizers of the show impressed the audience with a variety of designer dresses and themed delights. On stage were presented gorgeous sparkling dress with metallic accents and crystals , headdresses decorated with turquoise stones , motorcycle helmets , covered with a variety of decorative elements .
Designer Guo Pei shared his impressions : “Swarovski entered the Chinese market at the right time,” Guo said. “Budding designers have received a lot of support from Swarovski, but when I deal with my own clients, I don’t recommend Swarovski in all cases. Some are government officials or business people. They are low profile, and don’t like to show off.”
Swarovski plans to continue its expansion on the Asian market by opening their own boutique in the multi-brand department store Lane Crawford.
