Police have arrested two suspects with heroin in Grandpass and Peliyagoda areas.
A youth was arrested on Thursday by the Police Narcotics Bureau in the Grandpass area with 3.5kg of heroin in his possession, the Police Media Division stated.
The suspect was identified as a 27-year-old residing in Colombo 15. He was produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court yesterday. The Police Narcotics Bureau is conducting further investigations.
Meanwhile, according to information received by the Peliyagoda Police, another suspect was arrested with 05 grams and 310 milligrams of heroin in a raid.
The 42-year-old suspect from Peliyagoda was produced in the Aluthkade Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
