Anything that you've ever done, ever, online ... emails, mobile phones, forums, chat sessions, websites, downloads, uploads ... can now be (retrospectively) UN-MINIMISED.
The memo also set out in more detail what the NSA could and could not do.
• "Are authorized to unmask UK contact identifiers resulting from incidental collection."
• "May utilize the UK contact identifiers in Sigint development contact chaining analysis."
• "May retain unminimized UK contact identifiers incidentally collected under this authority within content and metadata stores and provided to follow-on USSS (US Sigint System) applications."
That basically means that at all times now and at any times in the future, your 'files' can be opened, unminimised and used against you, no matter what you knew (were doing) at the time. Even if you were TELLING A JOKE to a friend! Even if you were 'larking about' and LOLing with your mates. You're All The Enemy, if FFC or Future Fascist Corporation i.e. gov, decides to flag you so.
