Surface Laptop Studio Review: Redefining World Of Windows Laptops

Posted on the 06 October 2021 by Jitender Sharma

The Surface Laptop Studio demonstrates that Microsoft has learnt from the Surface Book’s flaws — or, at least, most of them. Let us read more about it in this Surface Laptop Studio Review:

Pros

  • A fantastic 120Hz display with Dolby Vision.
  • The flexible screen hinge outperforms the Surface Book’s.
  • Hardware that is superior than that of the Surface Book 3
  • Excellent battery life
  • Top-of-the-line quad-core CPUs are 35W.

Cons

  • Limited Ports
  • More expensive than competitors with superior hardware
  • Microsoft’s most enticing presentation to date

Display

Instead of over-engineering a solution to have a detachable screen on a powerful notebook, the display of the Laptop Studio simply tilts forward. When you press it even more, it transforms into an angled digital easel, comparable to its larger sister, the Surface Studio. That hinged screen isn’t totally unique.  We’ve seen similar implementations on the HP Spectre Folio and Acer’s ConceptD 7 — but it’s unusual enough to warrant a place in the Surface lineup.

Comparable Design

The Surface Books were all tablets that docked into a keyboard base that held an extra battery and an optional discrete graphics card. The PC guts were completely hidden beneath the Book’s screen.  It was a design that just couldn’t compete with other laptops that could accommodate far more powerful processors.

Screen Size

The Surface Laptop Studio’s 14.4-inch screen is somewhat crisper than 1,440p, with a resolution of 2,400 by 1,600. It’s notable for being one of the first productivity PC displays that include a rapid 120Hz refresh rate. That’s something Microsoft added to the new Surface Pro 8, and it just makes everything on the screen seem smoother, whether you’re navigating through online sites or taking notes with the Surface Slim Pen 2.

We are satisfied and happy with the Surface Laptop Studio Review. The fans love this gadget because of its excellent looks and classy finish.
