Bristol three-piece Sœur have unveiled the video for the title track to their upcoming ‘Fight’ EP (self-released on 17 November). The song’s intro recalls some of Reuben’s more reflective moments as Tina and Anya ponder past mistakes and question why they followed something so blindly – and how they’re now determined to rise against it: ‘I want to know, I want to know if it will ever be enough.’; ‘Take all they’ve got, will it never be enough’.
Inspired by an ex-army friend who ended up despising what he was fighting for, the band state ‘this song reminds us that we have the power not only to stop fueling the cause but to actively fight against it’ in so many personal and social situations. As the passion and frustration in their vocals increases, the music builds up before the band deliver a thrilling, final instrumental blast – all in just 2 minutes and 42 seconds.
