It is no secret that superhero helmed movies are a big draw at the box office. Outside of reboots, there isn't another sure shot for film studios. Take into consideration that before Jurassic World bowed, Avengers had the record for fastest movie to get to a billion dollars. It's a far cry from when I was growing up where they were few and far in between-but when they landed, it was very hit or miss. Being a comic book geek, I didn't mind one way or another. Still, now it's such big business that the two biggest comic book companies, Marvel + DC are set to release a multitude of films from now until 2020. It's astonishing to see the genre truly come into its own.
