Sunset at Centre Pompidou

By Eyepreferparis88 @eyepreferparis

POMPIDOU SUNSET-1

I was at the Centre Pompidou a few weeks ago to see the Henry Cartier Bresson exhibit late in the day, about 5PM. (Insider tip: the Pompidou is open till 10Pm every night except Tuesday, so late in the day or nighttime is the best time to go, so you can avoid the crowds). I’m always inspired to bring my photos to another level after I see the work of the great masters.

It was an exceptionally warm day for March and it was the height of the bad pollution days we had, where public transport was free and cars with only odd numbered license plates were allowed into the city. The only upside of the pollution is it created an amazing sunset. The Centre Pompidou has some of the best views of the city and looking straight out I couldn’t help but be mesmerized by the way the sun was hitting the Eiffel Tower. I only had my I-Phone with me and every few moments the light changed and the sky would take on a different color and hue.

Thinking I could take the same photos again the next day with my regular camera, I was disappointed as the pollution had lessened and the sunset wasn’t nearly as dramatic but I did manage to capture some great shots.

Just for the fun if it, see if you can guess which are I-Phone photos and which are with my regular camera.
