First and foremost, a very happy Father’s Day to your Papas today! I’m writing this post from my bedroom, cross-legged in no trousers, post-Father’s Day walk and cranking up the A/C because it is hothot in England this weekend. Yes indeed. To set the scene, I’m also surrounded by piles of clothes and a half-packed suitcase (which I received for a campaign that’s going live tomorrow! Head back here at 8am BST!), a beautiful bunch of creamy white peonies on my side table and last night’s pajamas thrown haphazardly half on, half off the bed. Just in case you ever thought my life was picture perfect ;)

Copenhagen bound!

Babybutter and I are flying to Copenhagen on Tuesday for 5 days of exploring the city. We’re ridiculously excited and overwhelmingly underprepared - I’ve earmarked tomorrow for some emergency holiday shopping as I’d love to add a buttoned midi dress and a bonus Bardot top to my stocks. Our mini itinerary is totally packed with things to do and things to eat and we’ve even made bookings because we’re just that eager. I’ll also be taking my camera with me, so expect a new Daisybutter City Guide as well as some photo diaries - fully aware that I didn’t manage to post a photo diary from the South of France… Let me know what sort of travel content is your favorite from me!

One Year

On Thursday, Harvey and I celebrated one official year together! It’s a bit of a strange one as we’d been dating for a few weeks before that but how do you even put a date on these things?! One day, I’d like to share our story (believe me, it’s a story and a half!) but for now, I’m enjoying keeping it fiercely ours and sharing tiny but still special snippets with the world. We celebrated by spending a night at the Sanderson London on Monday and feasting on Franco Manca… but more on that later.

Brush lettering, a new love

I didn't manage to share a Sundaze post last week so I’ll profess my newfound love for brush lettering today, instead. Last week, Ghenet invited me along to a brush lettering workshop that she’d won in place of the lovely Lauren who sadly couldn’t make it. I seriously thought I’d be terrible but with a little practice… I got there! The workshop was run by fellow blogger Teri from The Lovely Drawer who may just be the sweetest lady in town. I made a little lettered print that is waiting patiently to be hung up and I’m finding myself practicing in the evenings as well. Eventually, I’d love to create a little range of brush lettered somethings for Honey + Chai.

Shooting with Kaye

I shot some blog photos with the ever-so talented Kaye last weekend and I’ve been SO excited to share them with you! The first set went up earlier in the week but I’m saving the others to create some posts when I’m back from Copenhagen. For the first time in ages, I *got* that whole connection and fluidity between beautiful photographs inspiring better copy and content. Kaye has such a way of seeing through new eyes and creating photos from the everyday ordinary. I’m already excited to book in again with her and explore a new corner of London through her camera lens.
