First things first, bonjour! Right now, I’m fresh off my flight from Marseille - well, with a bonus shower and M&S sandwich scoffed en route home - and I’m positively bubbling with inspiration and blog creativity. Yay! You might have noticed a slight dip in new posts around these parts and it’s simply because I’ve about 12 unfinished posts in my archive. For some reason, every time I sat down to craft a post, I just couldn’t seem to ‘nail it’ and produce something I was content with sharing. That might sound a little pretentious, but in this blogging day and age, who could blame me?

Hitting reset

Post after post is written nowadays about how the blogosphere has erupted and evolved in such a way that it often seems unmanageable - by us, the bloggers. I felt awfully conscious of how focussed I was making my own great content that nobody seemed to engage on that I forgot to engage on others’ content myself. Oh, and work kicked. my. ass. Truly. A handful of 2am finishes and 7am starts can do that to a girl.
But, I’m back! I’ve just returned from a weekend away in the South of France with my Dream Team girl gang, visiting Elodie, and I couldn’t even begin to explain how relaxed I feel and how blissful the past few days have been. I am extremely lucky to have met some of my best friends online and even more so to explore new corners of the world with them. I have a backlog of posts, as well as ideas for fresh series, that I feel more than ready to sink my teeth into as soon as I’ve gotten some sleep behind me. This ‘reset weekend’ feels like the perfect start to an early summer. You can see some preview snaps from my trip on my Instagram.

What’s to come

After a blogging drought, I have a plenty of new ideas for posts to spruce this corner of the Internet up with. Taking a few days off from social media and reading posts does that: it helps you work out where you want to be next - both figuratively and literally! - and the type of online ‘influencer’ (shudder!) that you want to be. I’ve got a sibling trip to Copenhagen coming up, some plans to open up our family kitchen and share it with you, a picturesque selection of posts from Elodie’s hometown and a whole host of other things that my life is shaping around at the moment.

I hope you’re all having a wonderful Sunday. Same place tomorrow? x
