18.12.16Lads, we’ve done it, we’re a WEEK away from Christmas Day!
I’m not really sure where the past week went, or indeed the month, but I suppose I can’t complain. My Christmas shopping is pretty much nailed and I’ve already cracked on with my annual rewatch of the Harry Potter film series. AND I’ve begun introducing Brussels sprouts to all of my meals too! Yep, I’m one of those guys that loves a good sprout. Harvey and I made these Brussels Sprout Breakfast Tacos from The Love & Lemons Cookbook (my favourite! Plus their blog is pretty great too) and they were incredible. SO damn tasty. So, sprouts aside, here’s what’s new in my world this week…
一. On Tuesday, I popped into London for the annual Dream Team Christmas dinner. I must say this at least once a week but I couldn’t be more glad and proud to be pals with these five ladies. The Internet is great. Elodie, Hannah, Lily, Sarah, Sophie and I headed on to Leong’s Legend in Chinatown for a Taiwanese feast and swapped Secret Santa gifts - I received a huge bag full of Lush goodies that will serve me nicely as I’m officially on Christmas break now! Totally would recommend Leong’s Legend too, the food was SO good.
二. My brother, sister, brother’s girlfriend and I finally got to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Wednesday. Funny story: we managed to book tickets on the first day of pre-release last year but we figured that I’d be in Hong Kong so decided to get them for ‘whilst I visited in 2016’, meaning we’ve waited more than a year and a half to see the play! The play was seriously magical, much better than even I, as a die-hard Potterhead, could imagine. Of course I won’t ruin it for anybody that hasn’t seen it (the script will never prepare you for the play) but I totally implore you to get your mitts on some tickets if you can.
三. Wednesday saw me venture over to Somerset House’s New Wing for breakfast at Spring with Puma and JD Women. The breakfast was to celebrate Lucy Watson’s beautiful new collection with Puma and it was a) delicious, b) set in the most beautiful spot EVER, c) a pretty awesome collection - can’t wait to head out for a run in the leggings! and d) Lucy Watson is bloody gorgeous. I always love meeting bloggers and having a chinwag and it was even better accompanied by a delicious breakfast of lemon and polenta muffins, bircher muesli, rye bread and avocado and more!
四. This weekend we’ve introduced a few more lines to Honey + Chai. We sold out of SO many pieces last month so I’ve been dying to restock and share some new items. The Victoria is a gorgeous off-shoulder shirt in striped cotton seersucker - I wore it on Wednesday to see The Cursed Child with black skinny jeans and my Alexander Wang boots, simple city chic. We also released the Penny knit, as named by you guys on Twitter, a soft fluffy turtleneck jumper with INCREDIBLE blouson sleeves. It comes in four colours and I absolutely adore it. Hop over to the site here for a little browse now (: oh, & grab 10% off your orders with the code DAISY10.
五. Last but certainly not least, I’ve finally finally managed to find the time to start playing Pokemon Moon! I preordered the game and have had it since the 18th November but I’ve been so caught up with work and post-holiday life that I only managed to play it last night. I’m still undecided on the new gameplay structure but I’m sure I’ll come round to Alola soon.
How was your week? ^_~
