Sunday Summary | Dippy the Diplodocus

Dinosaurs, food and shopping - that's basically my week summed up in 3 (ish) words!
Obviously no trip to London is complete without a visit to the Natural History Museum. As a child I loved visiting the museum and I still have fond memories of running around, wanting to read everything and absorb as much knowledge as possible. I was a lot more reserved on this visit, mainly going to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, but we had to walk past Dippy on the way out. I already know on my next visit down (or perhaps the one after) I'm scheduling in a whole day to explore the museum, it just has to be done.
During the week I popped along to an Italian's in Jesmond to sample their food, I'm sure I'll have a little post up soon - you know I like to take photos of food, so this is no exception. Even today I've been out at The British Street Food Awards, the regional heat that took place in Newcastle. It reminded me how I really need to remember to get along to The Boiler Shop Steamer events every month and sample more local food.
Food aside, I've done plenty of shopping too (including my London spree), read Gillian Flynn's Sharp Objects in a matter of days (surprising for me since I don't read even half as much as I should) and been to see Ant-Man at the cinema, which I can completely recommend. It was definitely better than the second Avengers film; didn't feel like it was trying as hard to be funny all the time and Paul Rudd was a great choice for the role. Back to the book discussion, I'd really recommend Sharp Objects if you're looking for something dark/thriller that's got a great twist. 
This week I shared an outfit with my new kimono, an introduction to matcha and afternoon tea with The Teashed.
