From fast cars, to theatre, to walking around abbey ruins in the rain, this week has been quite mixed!
Starting with Monday, we went to Elvington Race Track, near York, for Dad's birthday present - a track experience. It seemed like he enjoyed it and I think similar presents will follow for my Mam and sister in the near future now...since they both experienced a high speed lap in a car too, whilst I played photographer in the rain!
Tuesday through to Thursday have been usual days at work with not a lot to report. Though Thursday night was a highlight as I made my way along to Sunderland Empire to see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels courtesy of ATG tickets. Both me and my sister really enjoyed it and I'd highly recommend seeing it if you get the opportunity!
I finished the week with a spa visit, which was very well received after a really busy couple of weeks at work. I'll no doubt need another massage after this month since w/c 29th June as it's going to be a pretty demanding week at work!
I managed to fit in a little cinema visit - Pitch Perfect 2 (after watching the first one earlier in the week, why did it take me so long? It's great!) while the rest of the screens seemed to be showing Jurassic World. That's next on my list though, as I've now seen the other films.
Today we had a trip out to Fountains Abbey in Ripon followed by a huge Sunday lunch (those yorkshire puddings were massive) and despite the rain, it was a lovely day out. I definitely want to go back on a sunny day and possibly during winter when there's some snow!
I'll see you Tuesday, who else is spending their Sunday night on an OITNB marathon?
