Sunday Summary | Being The New Girl

This week I started my new job and y'know what, it's not so bad being the new girl!
Everyone I've met has been lovely and the work I'm lined up to do all sounds really interesting. So, even though I could've been in Denmark this week if I'd stayed at my old job, I'm glad I left and I've really enjoyed my first week. The way I see it, there's plenty of time to pop over there for a few days (or an extended Scandinavian adventure, if money was no question) and at least I'd have someone with me. If I'd gone there this week, it would've been a solo business trip and whilst I would've met people over there I was working with, it could've been a bit lonely (not that I would ever let traveling alone put me off going somewhere in the future). Long story short, I feel like I've made the right decision and I'm really looking forward to getting properly into my new role! Feel a bit silly for being nervous to start this time last week, especially when everyone I work with is so friendly! 
Other than getting acquainted with colleagues at work (and dare I say, I'm doing alright with picking up their names!) I've caught up with the lovely Katy, managed to do slightly better at the pub quiz - the music round was boybands and I think that's where we gained most of our points, renewed my gym membership, went to a spinning class for the first time in possibly a month (oops!) saw myself on the cinema screen again in the university advert, watched Legend and spent today in Keswick. Busy busy! On a side note, I highly recommend going to see Legend, not only because it's double Tom Hardy, but it's a really good film...and did I mention, Tom Hardy is both Kray twins? Yes, I did? Oh well, you get the point...
