It's been a week of ups and downs and in more ways than one, I'm glad to see the end of January.On Monday night I went to see Mayday Parade with Andrew. They were so loud, like way louder than I'd expected but then again I can't really compare to City and Colour the Friday before as the music is pretty different. It was a really good gig though, even with the ringing in my ears when we left.
I met up with Chloe for coffee on Tuesday, although those plans altered a little and we went for Frankie and Benny's breakfast instead (I still had coffee though) and chatted about trips away and general girly type stuff. She's fab and you should all go check out her blog here.
Thursday was a pretty tough day and I don't really want to say too much about that. Whenever something happens that you disagree with all you can do is keep your head up. Andrew and I did watch more Dexter on Thursday night though, so that's a plus.
I spent Friday and part of Saturday in London. I headed down there for a training event talking about marketing yourself, being freelance and other sorts of things that are pretty important to working in the media industry. It was nice to see some familiar faces from The Network and I'm gonna try to get back down there for the next alumni event at the end of this month if I can. London's just such a great place and I always find that when I return home after being somewhere different, I feel a bit uninspired. Surely I'm not the only one though..?
My Access All ASOS surprise parcel was waiting for me when I got home, so that definitely cheered me up. I'm really excited to be part of the scheme and I'm looking forward to making Hello Freckles the best I can. I've actually been sorting out YouTube stuff this afternoon and I think I may be finally making an appearance on there as an extension of my blog.
