Can I just take a moment to praise the flowers above; I've now had them for just over two weeks and they're still going strong. Very impressed! There's something nice about having flowers around, they just brighten up the room don't they?
This week I blogged about where I would go on a UK Adventure. If you didn't see the post, you can read it here, do let me know your thoughts. I've also shared a few Christmas present ideas from The Body Shop here, there really is something for every budget.
I had my hair styled at Gary Hedley in Newcastle for the launch of Paul Mitchell's Christmas products. It was lovely to relax and have someone fuss over my hair and I'm so pleased with how they styled it. Unfortunately, it didn't look the same when I woke up the next day, despite my best efforts! Funnily enough, I have since had my hair cut - but more on that next week.
Two cinema trips happened this week, firstly Interstellar which I highly recommend and The Drop. I wanna go see Interstellar again to fully form an opinion and just because it was a beautiful piece of cinema, it was amazing - much better than Gravity. Last night we went to see The Drop and I have to say, I'm always so impressed with Tom Hardy. He really becomes the characters; just consider when he was Bane in Batman. Sometimes you can't really connect with a character because of the actor (like if it was Adam Sandler for example since he would typically only play a comedic role) but I was seeing Bob from Brooklyn not Tom Hardy putting on an accent and it was a great film because of that (and because of Rocco).
I'm running for Best Lifestyle Blog in the UK Blog Awards, so if you're a fan of what I do here on Hello Freckles, please pop over here and vote. It'll take you ten seconds, possibly less. I'm also up for Young Person Recognition, so if you want to vote for that too, please do so here. I really do appreciate all the support and since winning Best Lifestyle in the North East Blogger Awards, it seems right to push my blog even further and I hope you can support me in doing so.
Next week I'm off to two gigs. On Friday I'm off to Edinburgh to see The Gaslight Anthem for what will be the third time as a whole band, and fourth time seeing Brian. I can't wait! They're always amazing live and I'm also really looking forward to seeing all the Christmas decorations in Edinburgh. If you have any foodie recommendations, please leave them in the comments or send me tweets! Next Sunday I'm off to see A Day To Remember, with support from Lower Than Atlantis which should be a really great combination. I've already seen ADTR before a few years ago but I'm looking forward to hearing their newer stuff live as well as some classics.
