Sunday Summary #28

hello freckles sunday summary passport parisDepending on what time you're reading this, I'll be on my way to the airport, possibly boarding the plane or I'll already have landed. Don't worry though, I'll have posts up on Tuesday and Thursday as normal and obviously some exciting ones about my trip when I get back. This week has been a serious mix of emotions and one of the most important ones I've had this year!
On Monday I officially graduated from university with my First Class Honours in Media Production: Video and New Media. I'd had doubts about going to the graduation ceremony but I'm so glad I did, it absolutely flew over. As much as it was a day for me to celebrate my achievements, it was really for my family too and I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did! We went for a meal on the night to celebrate and the waiters came over and sang to me, like they did on my birthday, but this time it was a celebration/happy song all in Italian. Aww!

Tuesday I decided to redo my dip dye and it went all kinds of wrong which wasn't good when I had a meeting on Thursday to chat about working with a certain hair company. More on that at a later date though! I've since fixed it for now and I'm sporting a bit of a brown combination which looks a bit red in some lights.

Yesterday I signed my contract for my job which is really exciting and had lunch with the lovely Kate who I really don't see often enough. After lots of chicken and chatting, I met up with Cameron. He went over to Australia nearly two years ago for the sandwich year of his degree to work, then when that year ended he decided to stay out there and continue working and finish his degree at an Australian Uni. It was so great to see him, and all the guys. It really felt so nostalgic since we were back in the usual bar, in the same booth just like old times. Goodbyes are never easy though, so it was really hard last night when I left knowing it's gonna be another year, probably more until I see him again... unless a few of us end up saving for flights out to Oz!

Teary goodbyes aside, I spent all day yesterday rushing around and getting all the last minute preparation for Paris sorted; picking up euros, printing boarding passes, packing and planning which days we could see/do things. I'm really looking forward to my little break with Andrew, it's gonna be lovely to have some time away before I start work.

I hope you've had a great week!
