Sunday's are for breaking bread.... I hadn't seen my mother in over a month due to the pandemic, so my daughter and I decided to get her out of the house for a few hours and take her to her favorite restaurant.... Half Shell Oyster House.
One of the things this pandemic has taught me is to "be in the moment," because we can never get time back. So today Instead of being my rush to get back home self (my safe place) I took in the moment listening and watching my mother. Her mannerisms are so ladylike and her conversations are full of wisdom and inspiration. Before this pandemic my siblings and I would all gather at her house after church on Sunday's to break bread and brag about the latest accomplishments of our little ones. I can't wait for this thing to be behind us so I can gather with my siblings and their families while we listen to our momma's wisdom as she prepares our Sunday dinner. Until then, like the rest of the world I'll have to settle for FaceTime and video snippets.
Signed a girl who loves bread but more importantly her dope family.
P.S. Kudos to the team at Half Shell, not only were the CDC guidelines being followed, the service was impeccable!
