Sundari is inspired by India and the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda; going back to natural ingredients and traditional remedies to relax and regain that sense of balance between body and mind. Sundari is all about feeling good on the inside and this reflecting on the outside too. The great thing about Sundari products is they're safe for pregnant ladies to use and due to this, Seaham Hall have some special prenatal treatments; Amba; a seriously indulgent 90 minute treatment and a Mother-To-Be Massage.
There's also everything you'd expect from a range of (six - including one targeted for men specifically) facials to Indian head massages and foot massages and some you've perhaps not heard of like Shirodhara and Abhyanga.
Shirodhara is what you can see in the photo above and involved pouring warm oil on the forehead (over the third eye) to drift you into deep relaxation. Abhyanga Massage is unique to other massages you may have had at Seaham Hall's Serenity Spa, or indeed any other spa. This particular treatment sees the therapist pour oil over the entire body before beginning the massage. This allows the oil to revitalise dry or dehydrated skin and restores the flow of 'Prana' which is seen to be the life force that stimulates the body's vital energy. It certainly sounds incredibly relaxing and I'm sure the two combined would leave anyone feeling completely soothed and refreshed.

I don't know about you, but I can't wait to book myself in for a visit.

For more information on Seaham Hall's Sundari treatments (and indeed Ytsara, Ishga and spa days) visit their website. I highly recommend their spa whether you're looking for somewhere to relax in a hot tub and a sauna, or a hot poultice massage.
