By Eleni Balkouli @Love4Wed

Bursting with the prettiest hues of white and violet, this wedding is just incredible! Anna and Nikos’s love for Greece led them to create a beautiful wedding in Athens. The greenery scene of this place was so beautiful that it didn’t need much. It was simply adorned with beige details and flower bouquets in white and violet colors. Some candles added the essential romantic sense that made the whole scenery looks more atmospheric. Special moment of this unique day was the magical fireworks that impressed everyone! Enjoy!

“We met in 2014 in Greece. Nikos is supporting as hobby the organization of a sailing cruise for international people in Greece and I met him when I joined the event for first time. We fell in love at a remote beach on the island of Kefalonia, one warm night of August, under the majestic sky full of bright stars”, the bride shared with us.

“Nikos proposed during a romantic dinner in a cozy atmosphere at our place in Amsterdam. He decided to propose before our parents were supposed to meet for the first time. Our parents visits was already arranged, so the official proposal with a beautiful shiny ring made this occasion very special.”

“I love Pronovias! Variety of dresses can satisfy every taste snd complexion. Overall I spent not more than 3 hours to choose the dress each time flying from Amsterdam to Athens. My final choice was the puffy ivory dress with open shoulders accompanied with a long lace veil that my bridesmaid were carrying on the way to the chapel. After the official ceremony I got changed from a white dress to yellow cocktail dress (also from Pronovias).”

“The ceremony took place in both ceremony and the dinner took place at Ktima 48, Athens. We love Greece, for me it’s a special place because Nikos was born in Greece and he dearly loves it. Greece is a unique country to have the wedding of your dreams. We had over 150 guests traveling from different countries all over the world and Athens was the perfect location in Greece to make all arrangements. I fall in love with Ktima 48 from the first sight – it is a spectacular venue that combines classy character and intimate isolation as if we were on an island.”

“We were lucky to share the opinion about the colors and the decoration of the venue. White and violette colors were our preference of choice and I don’t regret it even for a second looking at the pictures from the wedding day – the colors fit the venue perfectly well!”

“I love peonies so there were no second thoughts about the flowers for the bouquet – white Peonies with some Violette accent accompanied me through the wedding day.”

“We had an idea not to overload the venue with the decoration but to use the flowers, candles and some lights accents to highlight the venue. We found inspiration and ideas in wedding magazines, Instagram blogs and posts and Pinterest.”

“To be honest I enjoyed every single moment of our special day! Being surrounded by your family, friends and getting married a wonderful man is spectacular enough but there were certainly some highlights that made this day even more special – one of this moment was the fireworks. I was not very supportive of the idea from the begging, but my fiancé insisted that it will make the dinner time special and certainly it did! The venue and the fireworks are just made for each other!”

“My general advice to everyone who is planning to get married would be to start planning the event in advance, this will release stress, leave enough of space to make decision and change decisions (I was changing my wedding dress for example) and inform your guests, so they will not miss the day.”
