Summer Time Prep

1. Three words.... lighten your hair!  Unless you have ombre, you have no excuse for severe roots this season. Once you lighten your hair, the sun will do the rest of the work to add a natural highlighted color.
2. Pat foundation/concealer on your lips before applying your lip color. This will allow your lip color to stay all day! (see Olivia Polermo's lips above)
3. Wash all of your makeup brushes with shampoo and conditioner. 
4. Wax your eyebrows. Your eyebrows should have a natural and subtle shape. We understand you let things get out of hand this winter, but it's time to clean it up.
5. Start a workout routine! My friend Lara and I are starting the Barre Method and we are going to stick to a strict schedule. Whether it's hot yoga, going to the gym, or just walking around outside, make sure you do some form of exercise on a daily basis. It's crucial to sweat out all of those toxins that have built up in your body.
6. Use a moisturizer with SPF every single day. No excuses. 
7.  Exfoliate 1-2 times a week.
8. Use hydrogen peroxide to keep you're teeth white all summer long. (A few times a week put on a q-tip then apply to your teeth before brushing your teeth)
9. Sleep on your back! Especially after being in the sun do not sleep on the side of your face, it will set in fine lines that will eventually turn into wrinkles.
10. Keep your nails and toes clean and polished all summer long. Remember no paint is always better than chipped nails. In a cosmo survey I read that clean nails and toes is one of the first things guys notice on girls. Yes...straight ones!
