I shot these photos in between RIO and Europe – when my mind was still caught in all the color from Brazil and summer was still an exciting thought. I usually shy away from anything so bright but a few months ago I couldn’t stop buying pieces that really stuck out. Fast forward to today and I am in a black and white kind of mood. Maybe it is the rain that is beating down my window or the fact that I keep seeing fall items pop up in stores and online but I just want summer to be over! I don’t want that to sound negative but between the mosquito attacks every evening and the heat – I am spent! I am such a proud Texan but I must say, the older I get, the harder summers get for me! Can I just get a one-way ticket to anywhere but here? Okay, so I am being super dramatic and maybe it is just some summer blues but a girl is allowed to have her days! I will spare you further thoughts and go drink a cup of tea and re-center. Promise to be back tomorrow, rejuvenated and content!
