Like HOT, so activities with Ralph can be kind of tricky. Between the extreme heat and his nap schedule (he still has a morning and afternoon nap) the combination of time and temperature can sometimes make our days and the activities that we do kind of tricky!

To mix up our afternoon activities, I bought this little blow up pool for the backyard. Ralph has always loved being in the water, so I thought this would be something fun we could do together on those hot summer afternoons. I have to say, if we don’t actually go to the pool, this blow up pool in our backyard is his favorite thing. We turn on music, bring out a few of his favorite water toys and he just splashes around for 20-30 minutes. It’s amazing how tired this makes him!!

Although I am soaking up all of the days where he actually thinks activities like blow up pools in the backyard are the most entertaining thing in the world, I am looking forward to eventually having to get a little more creative. For now, blow up pools in the backyard and chasing after toys and the puppies is going to consume our afternoons and I wouldn’t change a thing!
