Sulon Cortex VR Headset

The Sulon Cortex blends the concept of Kinect and Oculus in one weird looking headset. What makes it unique is that it is not tethered to a PC. This self-contained unit is a screen mounted in front of your face and a big, wide-angle ball-shaped IR camera sits on the back. Together they map a 3D model of the room in seconds and feed it back to your screen and add dragons and portals or whatever. The current problem is because no PC connection it runs on its own chip. Sulon didn’t confirm what chip it was but it is not good enough and graphics looks like the first Half-Life games graphics.
