Experience Luc Besson’s ultra-cool cult classic SUBWAY, with this collectable 3-disc 4K UHD SteelBook releasing June 23, featuring brand new extras and striking new artwork by Flore Maquin who designed the stunning Leon and Nikita limited edition SteelBooks.
STUDIOCANAL and GAUMONT announce the definitive and strictly limited edition release of the iconic and irresistible crime thriller set on the Paris Métro, directed by Luc Besson (Nikita, The Fifth Element), starring Christopher Lambert (Highlander, Greystoke), Isabelle Adjani (Possession, The Driver), Jean-Hughes Anglade (Betty Blue, Nikita) and Jean Reno (Leon, Nikita).
The highly collectable SteelBook includes a 4K UHD presentation of the film, and comes with two additional Blu-ray discs and a host of brand new extras.

Besson’s second feature after The Last Battle, Subway is a vivid urban odyssey which helped to consolidate his growing reputation for unique, visually creative cinema. Nominated for a BAFTA for Best Foreign Language film, Subway thrust star Lambert into the spotlight, winning him a César Award for Best Actor. With a soundtrack from Éric Serra – who would become Besson’s regular collaborator – and dazzling cinematography by Carlo Varini (The Big Blue), this is a film that Eye For Film says showcases Besson’s “extraordinary visual talent”, that is “replete with images that will burn themselves into your brain”.
