Style: The Wedding Guest 2012 - Outfit 1

By Annamoss84 @missanniebean
I've had a cushioned ride with the last wedding I attended,  I was a bridesmaid, so my dress was chosen for me.  I have only been to a few weddings as a guest, but I'm now in the age bracket where I am going to be attending more.  The last one I went to, I had dark hair, was over weight and to be honest I cringe when I look back at photos.  I wanted to make my next one a great memory, and it just so happens I have one of my close uni friends weddings at the end of the month.  Question is... what do I wear?!
She is getting married in beautiful Jersey, so I'm due to fly over and spend the weekend. Obviously with regards to clothing my initial thoughts were of summery colourful tones (no ground breaking news there!) but I really want to be a stubborn British Citzen and ignore the bad weather we're having. So, I'm still going to embrace the summer wardrobe I crave and find something light and colourful to wear.
Style: The Wedding Guest 2012 - Outfit 1 For my first style post on wedding guest outfits, I'm going for a very excitable ensemble. I'm loving this dress from Quiz Clothing,  It's called Cream/Fucshia And Lilac One Shoulder Dress -  it's usually £39.99 but there is a lovely £10.00 off at the moment! The one shoulder and floral ruffles really make this dress so perfect.  You have so many colours to work with from the dress with add ons.  I went for my embellished Next heels, but you could go for bright pink ones perhaps, or even purple.  I've got my vintage beaded clutch to go with, as it sets off the beading from my shoes.

Better yet it's styled in such a way that it allows to eat in this dress!  We all know when you go to a wedding you're going to be eating food  and often this can be bloating food too, so this dress is the perfect partner to cover up but not look like you're trying to!

There is no zip on the dress, it's elasticated making it easy to slip on and there is padding on the inside of the chest. This is good because it means you can go without a bra, but equally so a strapless is well covered by the material. Style: The Wedding Guest 2012 - Outfit 1
This is my first of many upcoming posts on wedding guest outfits.  I'm loving this very feminine dress from Quiz Clothing - Ideal for our summer weddings.  What do you think?
