I was going to do an individual post on a couple of pieces featured in this post, particularly the clutch bags, but as they were all from Primark I thought I'd do a mini haul. I'm not one to stay in all day studying so a quick break yesterday mid-afternoon was on the cards but shopping in Primark wasn't. After a stroll around a local old town and a browse in some vintage shops, not to mention an old school sweet shop where I ooooo-ed and ahhhh-ed and reminisced on sweets I had as a kid, I popped into Primark just for a 'quick look'. It was quick but I picked up a few great pieces. Primark are undoubtedly great for accessories, particularly jewelry. I'm a sucker for studs and adored this yellow gold wrist cuff. It looks so expensive and it was a mere £3. I also love crosses so picked up this silver two-finger cross ring and a couple of smaller bracelets which I love to wear during the summer either on my wrist or as an anklet. Now there's something really Alexander McQueen about these two black zipped clutch bags with skull detailing. The first is a leather clutch featuring a continuous skull imprint with a stud and silver charm detail to the side. I also adored the black suede clutch with the gem skull detail, with the addition of a suede tassle to the side. Both benefit from a wristlet and for the price the quality of both is exceptional. I also picked up a couple of pairs of white frilled ankle socks. I love the lace tops and already own several, but these crinkled mesh frilled ones were the perfect new addition. Lastly lip smack. I've been using Carmex for quite some time and was quite surprised to see it in Primark. It's cheaper than Boots so I know where I'll be getting my Carmex fix in the future. Also more of a novelty buy, I picked up the vanilla drumstick lip balm. It's super soft, does the job, and was only £1.
Have you been to Primark recently? What do you think of the pieces I picked up yesterday?
I had my final business exam on Tuesday, and have my final English one this tuesday coming. I've got some great things lined up for the blog over the next few months, including a make-over, and some new features. When your working, studying and blogging it's hard to find the time to sit down and switch things up a bit which I've been meaning to do since the new year. Next month it's British Couture's 1st Birthday so that may seem like an appropriate time. I've recently been complimented by several companies on my blog and to be honest I'm overwhelmed by the feedback and emails recently, particularly on my photographs and my writing. I've also had the opportunity to write some articles and do some features, particularly my previous post on well-renowned Fashion Designer Hussein Chalayan's Spring/Summer Sport Luxe. If you would like an article or a feature please do not hesitate to email me on the email address provided, I love working on new ideas and establishing new connections.
