All this talk on the news about how terrible this British summer is, has got me thinking. It's mighty frustrating that the tempting sandals and summer wear in the shops isn't appropriate for the weather we're experiencing. Its very donkey and carrott syndrome - and I keep hoping that the beautiful weather will suddenly emerge so I can embrace all the stylish fashion out there. Like many... I'm still waiting! I'm trying to be optimistic in what I'm wearing whilst waiting for the weather, so I've decided using the right colours is the best bet. Picking certain shades, fabrics and prints is what we should be doing - being fruitful with clothing but also being realistic and keeping warm whilst its still quite chilly. This style post incorporates a few items out this season and some older items too.
I'm loving throwing in my Miss Selfridge black seam detail biker jacket into my outfits, its a fantastic cut and is £52.00. It's
still quite light but keeps you warm so it's ideal if you haven't got a
denim jacket. This same jacket comes in a delicate beige color - which is ideal for the summer.
I've got my Topshop long sleeve blouse on from AW11, but it's quite light so It doesn't feel out of place. To set it off and make it that bit different, I've added a colourful Next Paisley Sateen scarf for £10.00. I think it adds a little cheekiness to the ensemble and of course the lovely Topshop Rose Leigh jeans for £38.00 totally make the look.
With my shoes the black ones are my rose ones from dune and the heels are All Saints suede ones. With regards to jewelry I've gone for a mixture and they are from Next. I must say I really do love my jeans in this style piece, the dainty rose shade is perfect to keep the outfit light and summery.
How are you all survivng in this so called summer? What are you wearing?
xoxo
