This weekend I was really excited, as I was flying over to Jersey to indulge in the celebrations of my friends wedding. I couldn't wait, as after a fabulous hen do, I knew it was going to be flawless. I'd finally decided on my ensemble, and even taken the risk of wearing something slightly white to the wedding. Luckily after all you lovely readers got involved, I teamed the dress with other coloured items to make it less obvious.

The Monsoon dress is mainly white, but there are delicate light pinks, beiges, and creams in the embroidery. I added my Accesorize baby pink clutch, my Kurt Geiger patent platforms and my Next pink pashmina. With regards to jewelry I opted for some lovely Accesorize pieces, along with some off gold earings from River Island.
Navette Cluster Ring - £12.00

Autumn Leaf Pendant - £5.00
I didn't want have anything too heavy, as the dress has a lot of detail on it already. Overpowering the look with too much jewelry would simply look silly, so I've gone for all very light, soft pieces. My hair was a pain if I'm being honest. I'd had it cut and coloured recently, and afer a bodge job hair issue, I decided to cut it shorter this time than I would normally. Usually I would lightly waved my hair for such an occassion, pinned it it at the side and that would of been it, but I was slightly restricted. My hair doesn't have a vast amount of shape to it, so I decided to have an up-do, but hadn't the foggiest of what to style to create.

I thought I'd use my life long talent of french plaiting my hair, but instead of my standard straight plait all the way back, I went for the side. I seperated my hair, french plaited one side all the way round, then I took the other part twisted both lots of hair together and created a messy bun. I kirby gripped my hair in place and added two pastel floral pins to finish the look off. I know you can see on this image some of the grips on the photo, but I hide them well after realising. A lovely hair do, and perfect for a quick look if you don't have time - or like me decide 30 minutes before you need to leave for the wedding!

Ta da!
This was my wedding look for a fantastic evening in the equally fantastic Jersey. The entire wedding had got an English country garden look, it was utterly beautiful wherever you looked. My weddings for this year are over, all the panicking of what to wear has finally come to an end. I hope you have found my wedding style posts helpful, who knows I may do some style pieces on how to dress for a winter wedding. What have you been doing this weekend? Had plans or adventures?
