Karl Lagerfeld passed away last year, but he is still an icon worthy of celebration. What is your favorite Lagerfeld creation?

Lagerfeld by the Numbers

At the time of his passing, Lagerfeld spoke four languages, designed 14 collections a year and helmed multiple fashion houses. His 85 years on this earth saw him catapult Chanel from a brand that only the well-heeled, women who lunch set wore into a simultaneous youthful and mature brand with debutantes and society doyennes clamoring for a front-row seat at one of Chanel's shows.

Black and White

Lagerfeld was a larger than life, partly because of his own stringent attention to detail he followed regarding his own appearance. He believed that black and white always looked modern which is why you usually caught him wearing one of those two colors. Furthermore, his own line showcased plenty of black and white, undoubtedly to keep the look clean and modern for every season.

Jewelry Lover

Lagerfeld was a big fan of rings. It was common to see him wearing his trademark fingerless gloves and various accoutrements from rings to brooches and more. He was most well-known for this look, however, he was a fashion chameleon changing his style from when he first entered the fashion scene to as we knew him at the time of his death.

Karl Lagerfeld was a fashion behemoth who transformed the legendary House of Chanel while still holding true to its fashion roots. He was also a tireless worker as he helmed his own eponymous fashion line while ensuring every collection he released adhered to his strict standards. Fashion will not be the same without him, but we are certain he will be keeping an eye on what becomes of his legacy.
