Style: Bon Prix - Styling for the Season

My favorite thing about the festive season (besides spending time with loved ones) is getting dressed up for a variety of special ocassions.  We all know there will be work Christmas parties and of course New Years Eve - but what do we wear? I was actually approached by the company Bon Prix and asked to select an outfit to review for my lovely readers,  I decided this may be a great opportunity to see what a company I am not completely familiar with had to offer. When my outfit arrived my boyfriend and I decided to get dressed up and head out for a meal.

First of all, show us your picks from the partywear on bon prix! If you've ever met me you will be aware I can never decide quickly on anything, however when I saw the Bon Prix Lace Back dress black/dusky pink and the beautiful Bon Prix Gold Sole Stacked peep-toe heels - I had to have them! Plus just to point out the dress was £39.99 and the heels were £34.99 which, I'm sure you would agree is a bargain!

What else did you accessorise it with, and why did you put those two items together?
The dress is very elegant and sits quite gracefully, so I decided to keep everything else extremely minimal.  Their is a cheeky tease of lace at the back of the dress so I knew I didn't want to add too much to the look.  I simply chose to go for a goldy/bronze & black jewelry to work with the gold stacked heels, in the form of some long earrings, a gothic bracelet, a black/gold ring on one hand, and a dusky pink one on the other hand. With regard to why did I pick these heels and this dress I just thought the glitter on those heels were too good to turn away and I think everyone needs some glitter near Christmas!

Do you think your outfit fits in with a trend for AW2012? If you’re setting your own trend, what’s it called?
Lace has been very 'in' through out AW12, so I think the fact this dress only shows a bit makes it that more perfect.  It's not an overwhelming lace look like some you can get, but how the dress looks and fits keeps it extremely sleek.
Were the dress and shoes comfortable to wear throughout your evening?
Yes, I went for a romantic dinner with myboyfriend.  He told me I looked beautiful :o) (aww!) It felt lovely on. Style: Bon Prix - Styling for the season
If you had to give the shoes a ‘dance-ability’ rating, what would it be out of 10 (10 is the best, obvs)?
This isn't a dress I'd take dancing on purpose however, after careful thought I did think the dress could work for a winter wedding - so you could throw some shapes at a wedding disco.  Don't get me wrong there would be no splits or leaps in there, but you could certainly shuffle and shake! I'd say at least a 7.

If you had to give your dress a ‘shimmy-ability’ rating, what would it be out of 10?
I loved the cut and feel of this dress it made me feel shapely but slim.  Only thing I would say is if you can bloat (like me) I'd perhaps avoid your bloating enemy foods before wearing this dress,  even though it's not skin tight it still does show off tummy area but the black color also keeps you looking slim! I'd give this a 9.

How easy were the items to style up to fit your look?
Perfect.  As I said I kept it all quite simple and styled my hair and make up around it.

Finally, describe your style in three words? Feminine, New, and  Annie Bean.
I'll be completely honest, this dress felt absolutely amazing on.  The quality was superb for such a great price and the shoes were comfy to walk in!  What do you think?
