Story: Studio 666 starts as the Foo Fighters are struggling to find their inspiration for their latest album. They get suggested a remote mansion for recording, a place with a unique sound. It starts like a normal band retreat, something that has worked for them before.
However, things start going bad, when the truth about the mansion comes to light. Dave Grohl finds himself getting caught up in the middle of what happened before, while the rest of the band figures out how to get out of the situation.
Verdict on Studio 666
Studio 666 is a horror comedy from the Foo Fighters. It follows the bands as they look to produce their latest album, only to find themselves dealing with the history of the home they are playing in. Finding themselves dealing with possession of their closest friend.
This is a horror comedy that lacks horror or comedy. It gets to play into how the band do enjoy wacky concepts as we have seen from the music videos throughout the years. However, it is wacky without what we get, despite not making much sense for the bonkers concept it brings to the table.
This must go down as more of a passion project, rather than one of the better movies of recent years.
Final Thoughts – Studio 666 is a passion project that lacks the IT factor the band can produce.
