Japanese gadget guru Dretec wants to make your kitchen pet-friendly and the T-188 Dachshund Timer is one cute means to that end. The 132 × 70 × 22mm (5.28” long by 2.8” wide by 0.88” thick) timer sticks to your fridge, timing your cooking while remaining in view.
Magnets integrated into the T-188 Dachsund Timer's ABS plastic body allow it to secure shopping lists, "to do" memos and those nagging overdue bills to your refrigerator door. It weighs a mere 46 grams, or just under 2 ounces.
Simply install the single included AAA-battery and you're good to go. The digital timer can be set for up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds, the digits of which are displayed on the small, rectangular LCD screen.
Times up? You'll know it by the sound of the chime - maybe future upgrades will change the tone to something approximating a doggie's bark. For the moment, however, listen for the chime to ascertain the time.
