last night, before going to sleep, I came to the conclusion that it is better to er on the side of caution and adopt an Agnostic (rather than Atheist) stance. Even if 'god' may not seem to exist, if just one person has contact with a 'dog-like entity' it breaks the Atheist rod across the knee. We can never interrogate everyone, so we must assume that the possibility exists for such an event.
I was treated to a brace of super-vivid dreams this morning for my pains, the first was lucid, the second wild:
the first:
I attempted to take control of whatever dream I was having, about whatever dream subject, and I went hunting. Well, not hunting, seeking. I was looking for deer, flying through the countryside and towns. And I found loads of them, all over the urban landscape. All sorts of shapes and sizes. And I continued to fly until I'd mastered the art of flying without scaring them. Then I had a large doe on my lap and I was stroking her fur. Elaborate nostrils was a theme.
the second:
I was watching a crazy tall big-haired man pull crazy chord combinations and super-complex rhythms out of a piano, in his driveway, as I was passing. I perched myself up on a big wooden sign outside his property with my belly. He was really amazing at what he did. I visualised the hammers of the piano lifting up in waves with far more fingers than he was capable of. The sound was unique and amazing. Suddenly, he and three others around his piano are singing the Christmas Carol 'Oh come, oh come, Emmanuel' but the words had changed slightly. They turned round to convince me to sing along.
"Rejoin us. Rejoin us. God is with us now." was what we were all eventually singing, and this from an Agnostic.
