Stramaccioni Era Begins With A Bang

By Simplyfutb01 @simplyjuan11

Inter began the Andrea Stramaccioni era with an emotional win against a freefalling Genoa 5-4. the match was full of excitement as well as filled with penalties that were called by referee Paolo Valeri.

The star of the match had to be Diego Milito who scored a hat-trick as he was accompanied by compatriots Mauro Zárate and Walter Samuel on the scorers’ sheet for the Neroazzurri.

Inter jumped out to a 3-0 lead when Milito scored his first two goals of the match followed by Samuel in a span of 25 minutes to really put the visitors on the ropes. Their scoring touch seems to have returned, but the way they finish matches that would once again haunt them. They would allow Emiliano Moretti to score his first goal of the season in injury time and give Genoa a bit of breathing room for the second 45 minutes.

Rodrigo Palacio would also help our the Rossoblu cause with his 16th goal of the season in the 59th minute. That goal would immediately be cancelled out by Mauro Zárate’s brilliant strike 15 minutes later

Alberto Gilardino would be the main protagonist for Genoa as their winless streak now reaches nine in league play. His two goals in the final ten minutes of play made things interesting but it would be too little too late as Milito would complete his hat-trick from the penalty spot as he was able to fire in the fourth PK of the match, to make it 5-3 at that point.
