Stop the Corna Horse-trading

By Gldmeier @gldmeier
There is a lot of talk of various tradeoffs, in the discussions regarding lockdown extensions or easing up...
Examples I have seen include; allowing certain schools to open (specifically yeshivas and/or boys schools of the haredi sector) in exchange for tight local lockdowns, allowing expanded weddings (ie expanded by distance from home and/or number of guests) in exchange for expanded allowances for sport, and the old one of expanded shul allowances in exchanges for expanded protest allowances. There are probably others as well by now.
I am tired of it. Every time they come up with a deal, the people see the entire thing as a sham, not serious, not real. Stop comparing items and stop making deals for what can be opened.
Sit down and figure out what can be opened and expanded safely, and do it according to the guidelines determined to be safe. Whatever can't be done safely or reliably, don't do just yet. Whatever makes sense logically, because it is really presenting any danger, open. Whatever is dangerous and has the numbers to prove it, don't open.
Stop the horse-trading. Not only does it not protect anyone, it hurts the trust the citizens have in the system.
