Stinsen L-5 Sentinel

@ Colorado Springs Airport, CO

August 2014

The L-5 liaison aircraft of World War II was purpose-built for military use and had no civilian counterpart.  This particular version has a rear fuselage hatch to permit loading of a stretcher for medical evacuation.  Almost 3,900 of these were built during the war.  Nikon D300 w/18-200mm, processed with Photomatix Pro and Aperture.
