Verdict on Sting

Sting is a horror thriller following a spider that grows to an abnormal size and starts picking off the residents of an apartment complex. Meanwhile, the person who took it must now prepare to fight back.

At the core, this is a giant flesh-eating spider movie. However, deeper down it deals with a family dynamic including a stepfather and daughter relationship, when a new baby is brought into the family. It also shows how older members of the family look down on him and he must prove himself to everyone to remain part of the family. This dynamic takes center stage and Charlotte has been struggling to adapt to a new change. But let’s not forget about the killer spider, which has funny kills and feels like it could have been taken right out of Eight Legged Freaks. You can have a lot of fun with this one and for a creature feature it gets some comedy thrown into the mix.

Final ThoughtsSting is a fun creature feature.
