The MMO NFT game SkateX has a wonderful addition to its team, as professional skateboarder Stevie Williams joins them. The game is presently being developed by Block Tackle – a new Web3 game development studio. The release reports that Stevie Williams will attend as a consultant.
Stevie Williams, the establisher of the DGK skatewear clothing website, will help in different ways. He will bring his exclusive style to the next game, and play a role in its development. In addition, he will advise on skateboard design and streetwear for SkateX.
“I receive offers and opportunities which always include skating,” Stevie Williams said in a statement. I convey almost everything, because projects have to be credible and include culture. They must have roots in legit skate history. I found out about SkateX not long time ago, and obviously SkateX is for culture, and that is what I am about. “Prepare your boards”.
SkateX game brings board culture to the virtual space
The Stevie Williams decks and merchandise are accessible for use in the SkateX as NFTs. This collaboration helps to generate an individual look for all skateboards in the game.
This is essential because individuality and the ability to express oneself via your clothing and boards are important aspects of skate culture. Currently, users can do the same in the SkateX virtual world with NFTs as well.
Until now, this project has been very successful. Though the game is scheduled to be released later in the current year, they are already sold out in a few minutes. The initial NFT series of SkateX 1080 3D-animated skateboards went on sale April 5 through the Magic Eden NFT marketplace. It is noteworthy that it was sold out in a few minutes. Ultimately, the next SkateX NFT drop is in May.
