Sterionizer – Effective Against Aerosolized SARS-Cov-2 Spread

Posted on the 16 September 2021 by Ebaircontrol @ebaircontrol

Bipolar Ionizer (Sterionizer) has once again fulfilled another milestone, meaning Sterionizer D6 application can now remove SARS-Cov2 concentration in air or HVAC duct or in a concentration significantly by 15 or 30 mins of operation.

As more offices are starting to open efforts as well are underway to have places of business operate as normally as possible, now knowing that Sterionizer can work positively to mitigate any COVID risks inside closed spaces or concentrated areas, it is imperative that commercial operations must function as normally as possible.

SARS-Cov2

Operators, Designers, and Owners must carefully look at the significance of Sterionizer and its positive merits on Covid spread inside buildings. With vaccination surge, one side and installation of effective air cleaning technology like Sterionizer will mitigate risks largely as well generate confidence in people to travel, work and assemble indoors, which was in abeyance for last 20 months…

EB Air strongly encourages interested parties to set up a mockup area to test the efficacy of Sterionizer in populated areas. Building Operators can gain additional victory by highlighting active safety measures taken and being followed. Benefits are measurable and each building can decide a path to incorporating Sterionizer at their strategized locations.

Filt Air Ltd. provided a D6 STERIONIZER, a compact bipolar needlepoint-ionizing device designed to be integrated into an air movement system such as an HVAC duct system, air conditioner or humidifier. The in vitro study evaluates the efficacy of the D6 STERIONIZER against SARS-CoV-2 on surfaces.

Result:

Active SARS-CoV-2 concentrations on the sample surfaces were reduced at the 15-minute and 30-minute time points. After 15 minutes of operation, the trial observed a decrease in the initial viral concentration of 6.32 x 106 to an average of 9.61 x 105 TCID50/ml and after 30 minutes to an average of 6.53 x 103 TCID50/ml.
