Golden State Warriors guard, Steph Curry told the thousands of people assembled at Liberty University for their Convocation, and to shine light on an initiative (Kickin’ It, which Curry is a part of) that provide shoes for needy communities in Africa, that he wants his career and life to be a reflection of God’s grace and mercy.
“I want my career and life to be a reflection of his grace and mercy,” the N.B.A superstar said. “Whether it’s winning a game or making shots and missing shots, it’s all about giving glory to God.”
Curry became involved with the project because of L.U. Alum Chris Strachan, who is involved in Kick’n it for a Cause. Curry serves as a member of the advisory board. Ntibonera already has 10,000 pairs of shoes and Curry’s involvement helped. Nike donated 500 pairs and Under Armor sent 1,000 – 500 from the organization and 500 that Curry purchased.
