Staycation is the new buzz and the best thing to do when one is in no mood to wander around, so just chill and enjoy the pleasure of staying in resort. We were craving for a rejuvenated staycation away from the hustle and bustle of the city, so we decided to visit Jim Corbett which is nearby.
Located merely 240 km from Delhi, Jim Corbett is easily accessible by both rail (Nearest railway Station Ramnagar, Uttarakhand) and road. Regarding the selection of resort which can be ideal for staycation, we opted for Club Mahindra, being the member and also heard rave reviews. We visited this property in Sept 2018 for 3nights/4days.
The Resort
The resort is located on the banks of Kosi River with serene environment in the midst of nature with birds chirping around makes the stay calm and relax.

The Studio Room
We had requested at the reception to give us the best room which has the best window view and we were ecstatic to get our wish fulfilled. We got the studio apartment which accommodates 3 people and is equipped with one bedroom, living and dining area.
Our room was near to Kosi River and every morning we felt so rejuvenated by enjoying the morning tea in balcony and listening to birds chirping, river roaring and gazing at the stunning scenic vistas. This is what we exactly craved for and so we relished our time.
The room was spacious, clean and provided with all the modern amenities. Even in kitchen area, there was microwave and some basic utensils, which was essential as many times we ordered our food from outside. So we could conveniently have our food.
Only in one part of room, damp patches on walls after rain was seen. Hope they renovate it soon.
Room Tip– Ask for rooms near the river or the poolside.
Service and the Activities
Service was very good and the staffs are friendly, polite and courteous. We arrived at 5 am in the morning and got the room as we wished for even though the check in time is 2 pm. This itself says a lot about their hospitality and customer service. Welcome drinks were also served.
It was full of daily entertaining activities especially for kids. Apart from this, one can also enjoy playing badminton, cricket, tambola and many other games. Some activities and rides are chargeable like cycling and ATV rides. The team managing these activities are cordial and they make sure to entertain us.
Safari booking can also be booked through resort, so if you wish to visit, their team can help but all depends upon the month when Jungle is open to public for Safaris.

The Restaurant
Delectable cuisine with varieties for buffet but little expensive. The chef and the staff look after the guest requirements continuously which are impressive. We had buffet sometimes at the resort and sometimes we ordered from outside the resort which was tasty and quite reasonable.
Barbeque Bay restaurant which is set amidst the Kosi River and picturesque hills is open in weekends.

Charges
There are difference in charges for all services for members and non members.
Overall we had a memorable and a perfect staycation at this property. A 2-3days stay is adequate to have the leisure time. Check out the below vlog for the preview.
Things to Remember
- Wildlife lovers- do check out the months when the Jungle Safari is available and then execute the plan.
- Carry mosquito repellent- Although it is available in room but we were told by the staff to carry it before our visit.
- Keep the door and windows closed else monkeys can become your guests.
- Sunglasses, sunscreen and hats for the UV protection.
- Don’t forget to carry swimsuit to enjoy the poolside.
