Stay Woke: Elementary School Tries To Stop Asian Siblings From Teaching Classmates About Dr. Seuss’ Racist Streak

Did You Know Dr. Seuss Was Racist AF?
For all his nursery rhymes and motivational books, Dr. Seuss has a serious history of racism against African and Asian people. So when their South Pasadena elementary school announced plans to celebrate Dr. Seuss week last week, 11-year-old Rockett and 10-year-old Zoe decided to make fliers to help teach the other students what they learned from their parents — Dr. Seuss was responsible for some very serious propaganda in a number of his cartoons which promoted racism and xenophobia especially toward Japanese and African people. This was years before becoming famous for his children’s books, but Seuss, born Theodor Seuss Geisel, made numerous political cartoons during World War II which featured racist portrayals of Japanese Americans.
“Early on, my wife and I have instilled in them to have a strong moral compass and sense of justice,” Zoe and Rockett’s dad Steve Wong told
